The essentials
- Your selected images and generated PDFs stay on your device. PosterSheet does not upload or store them on a server.
- We use Google Analytics to understand website visits and usage. No account or payment details are required, and we do not display ads.
- Cloudflare processes website requests to deliver and protect the site. If you email us, we receive the information you send.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy describes the PosterSheet website and poster-making tool, including its Cloudflare Pages address. “We” and “our” refer to the operator of PosterSheet. For questions about this policy or the personal information we handle, contact [email protected].
2. Images and PDFs are processed locally
When you choose an image, the tool reads it in your browser to prepare the preview and printable PDF. Your selected image, its file name, and the generated PDF are not uploaded to PosterSheet or an external image-processing service. We cannot view your selected photo, retrieve your project, or recover a download.
The application keeps the current image and settings in browser memory, without saving them to cookies, local storage, or a server-side project history. Reloading or closing the page ends that working session. PDFs you download remain on your device until you delete them. Your browser or device may keep cached website files, browsing history, or downloads according to its own settings.
This local-processing description applies to the poster tool. If you deliberately attach an image to an email, that attachment is transmitted through email and received by us.
3. Website hosting and request information
Cloudflare Pages hosts the website and delivers its files. As part of handling a visit, Cloudflare may process technical request information such as an IP address, requested URL, browser or device information, timestamps, and security events. This supports delivery, reliability, and protection against abuse. It is separate from your locally selected image.
We may use hosting information made available to us to investigate errors or security problems. Cloudflare’s processing is described in its Privacy Policy.
4. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
PosterSheet uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people visit and how the website is used, so we can improve it. The Google tag loads across the site. It can collect page URLs and titles, referring pages, interaction events, browser and device information, and cookie identifiers. Your browser also sends technical request information, including your IP address, to Google when contacting its services. We do not send your selected image, original file name, image contents, or generated PDF to Google Analytics.
Google Analytics uses first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish browsers and maintain session information. These cookies support website measurement; they do not store your photos. Their lifetime depends on the Analytics settings and your browser controls. The poster tool itself does not use cookies or browser storage to save your images.
You can manage or delete cookies in your browser and use Google’s Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on in supported browsers to prevent Analytics from using data about your visits. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy for more information.
Cloudflare may use necessary security cookies when its protection features apply, for example to remember a completed security challenge. Their use depends on the protection feature involved; they are not image storage. See Cloudflare’s cookie documentation. You can manage cookies and site data in your browser, although blocking security cookies may affect access when a challenge is required.
PosterSheet does not currently display advertising or include advertising tags. If we introduce advertising or change our analytics practices, we will update this policy to reflect the services in use.
5. Information you send by email
If you contact us, we receive your email address, the name your email service supplies, your message, and any attachments you choose to include. We use that information to respond, investigate problems, handle privacy or copyright requests, and keep relevant support records. We do not add support contacts to a marketing mailing list.
Our contact mailbox uses Gmail, so messages are also processed by Google as the email provider. Read the Google Privacy Policy for information about its services. Please send only what is needed for your request; a description or redacted screenshot is usually preferable to a personal photo.
6. Purposes and sharing
We use information for website measurement and improvement, support, delivery, security, and request handling as described above, or to meet applicable legal obligations. Support, delivery, and security activities serve our legitimate interests in running a reliable service and answering requests, subject to applicable data protection requirements. This policy explains our practices; it does not replace any consent required by law.
We do not sell personal information or intentionally send it for targeted advertising. Google processes website analytics information; hosting and email providers process information needed to deliver their services. We may disclose relevant information when legally required or when necessary to address fraud, abuse, or threats to someone’s rights or safety. We do not have your tool images to share.
7. Retention, location, and security
There is no server-side retention period for selected images or exported PDFs because the tool does not send them to us. Support messages are kept only as long as needed to resolve a request, maintain relevant records, and meet legal obligations. Analytics data is retained according to the Google Analytics property settings. Hosting, analytics, and email providers may retain technical records and backups under their own policies; there is no single retention period that applies to every type of record.
Cloudflare and Google operate internationally, so request information, analytics data, and email may be processed outside your country. Their policies describe their international processing and safeguards. PosterSheet uses HTTPS for website delivery, but no website or email system can promise absolute security. Avoid emailing sensitive personal information.
8. Your choices and rights
You can use the tool without contacting us or opening an account. To remove downloaded PDFs, delete them from your device; to remove browser records, use your browser’s controls.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, receive a copy of, restrict, or object to the use of personal information, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Email [email protected] with your request. We may need to verify that the request comes from the relevant person, and some information may need to be retained for legal reasons. We cannot retrieve local images or erase files from your device.
9. Children and external websites
PosterSheet is a general-purpose printing tool and does not offer child accounts or knowingly request personal information from children. If a child has sent personal information by email, a parent or guardian can contact us to request its removal.
Links to other websites are provided for reference. Their operators control their own privacy practices. Opening an email link also uses your chosen email app or service.
10. Policy updates and contact
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. For questions or requests, email [email protected] or visit the Contact page. The Terms of Use explain the conditions for using the tool.
